Raj Kumar Rai,Chairman of Film Development Board, Nepal a renowned filmmaker and distinguished personality in the Nepali film industry was born on December 2nd, 1974. Dharan Niketan School located at Dharan was the first school that he stepped into and graduated from Mahendra Multiple College, Dharan. Starting from import and export, real estate and construction he has taken a flight of film-making for several years. A passion towards movie production driven personality has been continuously working closely with Nepali Cinema Industry with the production of movies. As a debut as a producer Manai Ta Ho is his first film. Sangam remarked a great breakthrough. Triveni established him and Paapi Manchhe and its sequel made him to celebrate his success. Producer was his movie for the last year that recorded the nationwide and transnational success as well. The movie One Way is upcoming and greatly awaited movie.

The president of Producers Association of Nepal is the chairman of his own company RC Pictures as well. As a coordinator of cultural department of Nepali Congress, the largest political party of Nepal he has been proving his talent. He got his RC Pictures established before 14 years and now has the legacy that has been able to speak about Rai’s identification.
